I’m Eric Harris - a customer-facing sales leader, trainer, and technical storyteller in San Antonio, Texas. My background spans 25+ years of consultative sales, coaching, business analysis, and complex decision guidance, now aimed deliberately at Solutions Engineering across observability, cloud systems, AI-assisted workflows, and technical discovery.

A local-first pipeline that turns public-domain and Creative Commons texts into audio, generates RSS, and exposes the whole workflow - built observability-first, with process mapping, failure visibility, and a deliberate operator experience.

Public build log · daily execution
Ten consecutive days of Python, built and documented in public - one folder per day, from core syntax to a working CLI log-analysis tool. A timestamped trail of commits that shows real, progressive growth toward automation-adjacent work.

A local-first Progressive Web App for coordinating multi-model AI work through phase gates, critique layers, review loops, and explicit state management - structured AI usage with human judgment still in control.

Native Android app · time-sensitive job applications
A native Android app for roles that open at a scheduled moment and fill within minutes. It stages everything ahead of time, alarms you before the window opens, then runs a split-screen execution cockpit that logs the exact timestamp of every submission - and never auto-submits; the human always presses submit.
Native Android engineering, responsible AI use, and spec-driven delivery of a complete, shipped app.
Windows desktop app · visual storytelling & pre-production
A shipped Windows desktop app for artists and filmmakers: organize storyboard keyframes on reorderable shot cards, build emotional beat boards with color, script, and music cues, load .zip artifact bundles without unzipping, inspect 3D reference files, and export WebM animatics - one local-first pre-production workflow.
Native desktop engineering across a real toolchain - Electron, React, Three.js - plus the sequencing and framing instincts that make a strong technical demo.
Ramping in public
Smaller, self-directed builds and learning artifacts that show how I ramp technically: by building, inspecting, breaking, debugging, and iterating.
Foundational fluency
An early self-directed Python lab: CLI design, parsing, branching logic, file handling, and debugging. Phase-gated learning with earned technical perspective - not tutorial-following.

15+ years of hands-on
I’ve run personal systems and home lab environments for more than fifteen years - Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD / TrueNAS-style storage, media services, GPU systems, home networking, and local experimentation, including local AI.
I don’t present this as formal SRE experience. It’s evidence of long-running technical curiosity, troubleshooting discipline, and hands-on systems thinking - the habit of taking things apart, watching them fail, and putting them back together better.

Seeing what matters
The instinct for visual storytelling isn’t new - it traces back to a Certificate in Digital Animation & Media Arts in 2000, and it has shaped how I make complex systems clear ever since.
Photography is part of my technical storytelling practice. A good image demands both artistic instinct and systems thinking - light, timing, composition, constraint, and signal selection.
